EVIMETRA

Face & Camera Data

What we collect

With your permission, Evimetra uses your device camera to capture a photo of the area you select (face, scalp, nails or smile). When you scan your face, face-geometry landmarks (FaceMesh) are computed locally on your device. We do not create, store or use a biometric template or faceprint, and we never use face data to identify or recognise you.

How we use and disclose it

Face and camera data are used for one purpose only: to compute non-medical wellness indicators (such as skin uniformity and brightness) and to show you your result and personalised, non-medical suggestions. We do not use face or camera data for advertising, profiling, or to train any machine-learning model, and we make no other disclosure of it.

Sharing and retention

We do not share, sell, rent or otherwise disclose your face or camera data to any third party. In particular, no photo and no face data is ever sent to our AI providers (see “Third-party AI providers” below). Photos you capture are kept on your device; your most recent photo and the derived indicators are stored on our own servers in Germany (European Union) so we can display your latest result. We retain them until you delete them; there is no other retention period.

Deletion and withdrawal of consent

You can delete your face data at any time from the app (Account → Delete account), which permanently removes your photos and indicators from our servers, or by writing to info@evimetra.com. You can withdraw your consent at any time by turning off camera access for Evimetra in your device Settings and/or by deleting your account; after withdrawal we collect no further face or camera data.

Third parties

Because we do not share face data with any third party, no third-party processing of face data takes place. If this ever changes, we will obtain your consent first and we will only share it with a party that provides the same or equal protection of face data as described in this policy.

Third-party AI providers

Who we send data to

To generate the written commentary, the chat replies and the voice features, we use two third-party AI providers: OpenAI (models gpt-4o-mini, whisper-1 and tts-1) and Anthropic (Claude Haiku).

What is sent

For your measurement readings we send only a small set of anonymous numeric scores and your app language — never a photo, never face data, never your name, e-mail address or account identifier. If you use the chat, the text you type is sent so that a reply can be generated. If you use the voice feature, the audio you record is sent so that it can be transcribed and read back to you.

Your permission

We ask for your explicit consent inside the app, and tell you what is sent and to whom, before any data is sent to these providers. You can decline; the rest of the app keeps working without the AI features.

Protection, use and retention

These providers act as our processors, are contractually bound to provide the same or equal protection of your data as set out in this policy, do not use it to train their models, and retain it only as long as needed to return the response.
